Big River Rats News
Come and meet us at SPIEL
Pretty cool banner, right?!
If you’re there, please do come and say “hi”. Mathijs (River Rats designer), Peter-Jan (Monsters of Loch Lomond designer) and I will be there, and we’d love to get to know you! We’re in Hall 6, booth D411.
River Rats production & fulfilment update
About two third of all River Rats pledges have now been delivered. Most of the remaining packages were held up in customs, but I’m happy to see that the majority were released last week, so they should be arriving soon.
We’ve also had a few cases where games weren’t picked up in time from local pickup points. Unfortunately, re-sending those packages costs us more than double in shipping, so a small favour:
👉 Please keep an eye on your tracking link, and if your game is waiting at a pickup location, try to collect it as soon as possible. If you don’t have your tracking details handy, just reply to this email, and I’ll look them up for you right away.
Local pickup
Everyone who has opted for local pickup has been contacted by now. You can pick up your pledge at the Leiden Game Night, SPIEL or Spellenspektakel.

prototypes came in today!
In my last newsletter, you generously voted on the two designs of the cards (see below). The outcome was pretty remarkable: both versions were preferred equally.

Big River Rats News: River Rats joins forces with IELLO!
I’m thrilled to share that River Rats will be published in French by IELLO! 🇫🇷
IELLO is one of the most respected names in board gaming, known for their passion for quality and their strong eye for accessible strategy games.
They’ll be publishing the French edition of River Rats, and their experienced export team will also be working with other regional publishers to bring the game to more languages and markets worldwide.
It means River Rats will soon reach more tables, in more countries, than ever before. And that’s all thanks to you. Without your support, I couldn’t have made this game a reality. So, truly, thank you.
Chief of Cards @ Four Suit Studio. I’m on a mission to make great card games accessible to anyone, anywhere.
That’s why I design games with the strategic depth and thematic immersion of modern board games, but playable with just a standard deck of playing cards.
